Client: Clarion Futures

Project: The Resilience Programme (2023 – 2025)

Building on the success of the Recovery & Resilience Programme and Grants Plus, Clarion Futures put together a partnership with Places for People and Fusion21, which provided the funding, and Almond Tree Strategic Consulting, and scaled this capacity-building programme up to 145 organisations. My role continues to be to deliver the monitoring, evaluation and learning for the different iterations of the programme. Developing a Theory of Change and results framework, I also created a light touch monitoring approach that delivers data in real-time, with monthly updates being presented to the steering group and a live dashboard tracking the progress of each support package for each organisation, disaggregated by referring Housing Association. This has required scaling the MEL framework from supporting 15 organisations under the Recovery & Resilience Programme to currently supporting 145 organisations, keeping the data collection light-touch but robust, and overseeing the external evaluators, Rocket Science, delivering a real-time evaluation of the programme.

Project: Grants Plus (2022 – 2023)

Based on the evaluation of the recovery and resilience programme, working closely with colleagues at Almond Tree Strategic Consulting to design and implement Clarion Futures’ new technical assistance and capacity-building programme for its community partner organisations.  As well as providing relevant technical support, managing the monitoring and evaluation requirements and scheduled to deliver evaluation briefings to Clarion Futures at the end of each cohort (annually to 2025).

Project: Recovery & Resilience Programme (2020 – 2022)

Working closely with colleagues at Almond Tree Strategic Consulting to design and deliver a resilience and recovery programme for Clarion Futures’ community partner organisations that work with and support Clarion Housing residents, tenants and communities.  Manage all the monitoring and evaluation requirements, conducted the final evaluation and made recommendations to Clarion Futures about their follow-on permanent programme, Grants Plus.

Jointly with Clarion Futures, we produced a mini-blog series on this programme:

  2. Our Impact in Supporting Small Charities and Social Enterprises Through the Pandemic
  3. Supporting Small Charities and Social Enterprises: A Perspective from Clarion Futures
