Project: Evaluation of Plan International UK’s 30% of PPA Funding allocated to Organisational Effectiveness (2016)
Activities: This focused evaluation considered how Plan International UK had invested the 30% of its PPA funding from DFID that had been allocated towards improving organisational effectiveness. Using Contribution Analysis and a value for money case study approach, the evaluation process worked in a participatory manner with key staff teams to investigate how organisational effectiveness has improved at Plan International UK as a result of the PPA investment. Key outputs included process tracing maps and a final report and presentation of findings.
Project: Value for Money Assessment of Plan International UK’s Temporary Shelter and Sanitation Project in Nepal funded by DFID (2016)
Activities: This value for money assessment included not only a review of the project in Nepal, but also a review of Plan International UK’s value for money approach and tools. Using the 4E approach to value for money and a case study approach developed for the Australian Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade, this focused assessment included close working with Plan International UK’s MEL team and the country team in Nepal. The final outputs included a value for money case study report and separate internal learning report that could provide more candid feedback to the client.
